NMC | F8 Onsite Engineer | Daily Morning Checks
Overview: This KB will show how to perform the Daily Morning Onsite Checks for F8 Onsite engineer.
Client: NMC
Steps:
Task | Status | Notes |
Phone Check | GREEN/AMBER/RED | Test call to local and international numbers. |
PC Check | GREEN/AMBER/RED | Test for monitors and mouse functionality; PING Test |
Printer check | GREEN/AMBER/RED | Check if Printers are online; wake-up printers. |
Wifi/Network check/Shared Drives/SharePoint Sites | GREEN/AMBER/RED | Check if mobile devices and laptops can connect to Office WIFI; check if Office workstations can access internet (internal/external websites), Shared Drives, SharePoint Sites |
1. Physical Desk Phone Check - Random test calls to local and international numbers.
2. Ping test to all workstations - See attachments for the dedicated batch file for specific client. To be saved as .bat and run in onsite workstation. If machine is unreachable perform usual troubleshooting.
3. Physical Printer checks - Onsite engineer will check the printers if it's online/toner status.
4. Wifi/Network checks - Onsite engineer will check the office WIFI via mobile device/laptop; Onsite engineer will check if laptop/desktop can access the internet (internal and external websites; sharepoint/shared drives)
Shared Drives:
1. E:\\nmcazftapea.file.core.windows.net\sftdrive - This will show disconnected, but you can still go in. (please test)2. S:\\nmcazfsapea.file.core.windows.net\netdrive
