Bloomberg | New Installation / Re-install

Objective:  This article will show you the things to do and to take note when installing Bloomberg Software.

Steps:
1. After installing Bloomberg, bear in mind that we still need to install a serial number. We need to call Bloomberg Support at these numbers below depending on the location of the user.


2. We need to tell BBG Support the reason for the installation (e.g. new PC set-up / PC replacement etc.) Then we need to supply the Bloomberg username of the user as well.

For re-installation scenarios (users who have BBG app previously): Usually, our clients are Bloomberg Anywhere subscribers, and we really don't need to provide the serial number of the previously installed BBG software. but for good measure, capture the Serial Number installed prior uninstalling.
This is where the Serial Number is located.


3. To Install the serial number: Click on Advanced Options > Verify with your access Key > You will then provide the User Key to BBG Support, and they will provide you back with the BBG Access Key > Hit Submit and wait for the installation to finish. BBG will restart automatically after the installation.

If you are tasked to install Bloomberg software for a new user (No BBG account yet) you may want to check with the client their Order number (Client should know this). BBG Support will require you this so they can check on their end.
