New Joiner Setup

Part 1.
Creation of the user from Active directory
  1. Review Ticket number and check the New user form for access list and applications.
  2. Use Connectwise Automation and Launch remote session to GCC PMM1 or DC01.
  3. Launch Active Directory and go to user and create user by copy old user for access and enter New User details per request
  4. Complete the details for the New joiner
  5. .
  6. After completing the details click next.
  7. Create a temporary password. and kindly put it in Devolution for reference.






xii.   Once completed all the details. Double check to be sure all the details are correct.
xiii. Then open Powershell to sync the user account in azure in DC001 In Powershell enter. Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta 


PART 2
  1. OFFICE 365.
  2. Login to Microsoft office 365 using Admin credentials. ( Credentials is in Devolution).
  3. Once login check the user account via Admin Center.


  6. In Active users locate the created user and click.
  7. Once you click the created user. Cross check all the information and details.
  8. Then Check the License and apps.

  10. Add license to the user upon the request of the approver and click save changes.
  11. Check the form for the license. Office 365  E3 and Teams.
  12. Once add license to the user. Check for the New Joiner form and check for all the information needed to be add.
  13. Shared mailbox and Distribution list and security groups.

  15. For the shared mailbox. kindly check the Checklist form if the new joiner need a shared mailbox.
  16. For the distribution list.

  18. Click the Distribution list and check for the New joiners form for the Distribution list that need to be the new joiners to be added.

  20. Add the new joiner in the correct distribution list and save.
  21. Once all done with the Mailbox, Shared mailbox, Distribution list you can move forward on the Phone extention.

Part 3 

  1. 1. first you will need to know the user location (hong kong ; shanghai or singapore) 

    2. base on the location key in the correct IP address  

    3. need to do it under a test machine (gcmhkws71) in this case  


  2. After checking the site. Example: Hongkong.
  3. Copy the url and login as admin ( all the credentials is in Devolutions)

  5. Once login using admin. Click the user and check the New joiner form and see the Phone extension given by the approver.

  7. Click the add button to continue on adding new extension and details.

  9. Once completed all the details click the ok button in the upper screen.

  11. All done in the Phone extension.


Part 4.
  1. For preperation of the new joiner primary desktop kindly coordinate with F8 team and check on the New joiner form what machine will be the primary desktop for the new joiner.
  2. Check for the new joiner form for the request additional software to be installed. 
  3. Once the F8 team setup and join the machine to the domain of the new joiner. 
  4. Login in with the new user with the temporary password.
  5. Check user workstation and ensure that MS office is installed and activated.

  7. Once done checking the Ms office. Kindly proceed with the other application that needs to be installed.
  8. Installed Wind and Hibor by request  of the approver.
  9. Installed 3cx Softphone. You can ask for F8 to install or you can install it by yourself.
  10. You can check for the updated version of the 3cx Softphone in the internet.
  11. Once setup is all done. Check for the printer that also need to be installed in the new user machine.


Part 5.

  1.  Giving access card to the user.
  2. Go to GCMHKDA001

  4. Open the Pro-Watch and make sure to log in as PTSAdmin NOT VENDOR.ADMIN 
     

     

     

     
    Click New and type the First name Last name and Card type 
     
     

     
     
    Then Click New Card 
     
     

     
    Add  Card number etc. 
    But for Company if when the user Assign/Location like HK so I put that HK Provisional 
     
    We can check this in HK SG SHI Provisional for Stacy 
     

     

     
     

     
    I Assigned SG and SHI Provisional for Stacy because I already put the HK provisional to the Company 
     
    We can check this in HK SG SHI Provisional below have DO1 DO2 etc.  
     

      

    And done, revert to Todd to test
