NMC | Cloud PC Set-up for Support

Purpose

This article will show the steps for Citrix Set-up as well as Eze OMS in Cloud PC for NMC

Steps

1. Access Win365 Cloud PC via Web Browser

1.1 Open a web browser and go to https://coveapps.cloud.com .

1.2 You will see a login screen similar to the example below.

 

1.3 First-time login and 2FA setup

1.3.1 If this is your first time logging into Citrix, click “Don’t have a token?

1.3.2 Enter your domain\username, then click “Next”.

 

 

1.3.3 You will receive an email with a verification code. Enter the code and your domain account password on the next screen below.

 

1.3.4 A QR code will be displayed on the page. Download and use “Google Authenticator” app on your mobile phone to scan the code.

 

Note: Do not use Microsoft Authenticator, only Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone to scan the QR code.

 

1.4. After setting up 2FA, enter your domain\username, password, and the token from google authenticator.

 

 

1.5. Upon successful login, the published desktop will be displayed as the example below.

 

 

2. Access Win365 Cloud via Citrix Workspace App (Recommended)

2.2 The link will open the Microsoft Store. Click “Install”

Note: Administrator privileges may be required for installation. Please ask Bare Cove Support to assist.

2.3 After installation, open the Windows Start menu and launch “Citrix Workspace” app.

2.4 The Citrix Workspace App will look similar to the web version. You can proceed with steps 1.2 - 1.5 to access your Win365 Cloud PC.

 

3. Accessing Win365 Cloud PC via Citrix

3.1 From either the Citrix web browser or Workspace App, login and double click the published desktop assigned to you.

3.2 You will now have access to your Win365 Cloud PC desktop environment.

 

 

 

4. Office365

4.1 Office365 first login

After logging into your Windows PC, open Excel or Word application. It should automatically sign you into your account via single. If not, click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the application window and log in using your O365 credentials.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.2 OneDrive

4.2.1 After logging into your Windows PC, click the “Cloud” icon and click “Sign in”.

4.2.2 Enter your email address and click “sign in”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.2.Enter your password

4.2.4 Click “Yes, all apps”

4.2.5 Click “done”

4.2.6 Click “Next” to give consent to OneDrive folder

4.2.7 Click “Start backup” to begin syncing your Windows PC’s Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders with OneDrive.

4.2.8 Click “Next” on the following screen.

 

4.2.9 When prompted to set up the mobile app, select “Later”.

 

 

 

 

4.2.10 Click “Open my OneDrive folder” to complete the setup.

 


 

5. Eze OMS (Setup with BCT in a remote session)

 

5.1 Add user into local “EzeUsers” group               5.1 Add user into local “

5.1.1 Open “Local user & group” as “Administrator”

5.1.2 Locate “EzeUsers” group, right click and select “Properties”

5.1.3 Click “Add”, input user’s UPN and click “Check Names”, click “OK” to save

 

5.2 Change user’s Eze login first time

5.2.1  After user login into Win365, there should be Eze icon on user’s desktop

5.2.2 The Eze application was installed in the base image using user “areggiani”, therefore, we need to change the Eze application login for the user of the Win365

5.2.3 Right click the icons, at the back of target command, add a space and “-prompt”, save it

Re: it will show you need admin. Permission, click “Continue” and input domain admin if asked

5.2.4 Double click the application, it will prompt for login, change it to user’s login, click “Remember settings” and click “OK”

5.2.5 After successfully login, quit the application, change back the application shortcut to remove “ -prompt”

 


 

6. Connectwise (Should be completed by CloudTeam when provision)

6.1 There are Connectwise agent saved in c:\temp

6.2 Extract the corresponding zip file

e.g. NMC-AzureXXX_Agent_MSI_Install.zip

Re: where XXX is the location code

CAC – Canada Central

ESC – Spain Central

EUS – East US

ITN – Italy North

SEC – Sweden Central

6.3 Run the “install.bat” as administrator, follow screen prompt to finish installation as usual

 

7. Citrix VDA (Should be completed by CloudTeam when provision)

7.1 There is Citrix VDA installed saved in c:\temp

7.2 Run the “VDAWorkstationSetup_2411.exe” as administrator, follow screen prompt to finish installation as usual

7.3 Add the machine into Citrix Machine Catalog and Delivery group
