Bloomberg Gnet Client Alert

NOTE: GCC Bloomberg service usually send alerts on disconnection or reconnections during weekend maintenance.

Step 1: Check the Bloomberg client alert message. Is it a DISCONNECT or RECONNECT alert? DO NOT RESTART the service if it is a RECONNECT alert.   

Step 2: Check which server HK/SG

Step 3: Go to Connect Wise and select the GCC> GCCHKBB01 (site 23) or GCCSGBB01 (site 22)

Step 4. Login as the GNet user (credentials can be find in DVLS

Normally Bloomberg will send us an alert with subject px3896 - GNET Client Alerts - Site 22 or px3896 - GNET Client Alerts - Site_23  

 

 

Inside the email you will see the component type. (DO NOT RESTART the service if it is a RECONNECT alert.)

 

           

Step 5. Go to service.msc and find Bloomberg. Right click the "Bloomberg Gateway Client P386_S23" and click on RESTART. 

​(CONFIRM THAT IT IS A DISCONNECT alert before restarting.) 

Step 6. Once the service is restarted it will send another notification. And merge UNREGISTER and the REGISTERED notification.
